St Brigid’s College is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that values diversity, supports the individual needs of each student, and celebrates achievement and growth in all forms.
Students are supported in their learning through in-class support and targeted interventions from our team of passionate, professional and well resourced teachers and Learning Support Officers. Differentiation occurs in our programs to ensure we cater to each student through adjustments made on an individual student basis, so that strengths, weaknesses and learning needs are accommodated. Our Learning Diversity Leader meets regularly with parents of students who require specific adjustments to support their learning through formal Student Support Meetings where Personal Learning Plans are developed and shared with staff. Students are provided with rich learning tasks, which provide support and challenge for learners of all abilities.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a range of academic competitions, inducing ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools).
